Access Control Management
OS: RHEL3
I know there are scripts that manage htaccess / htpasswd, are these (can they be) secure? Are the a bad / good idea?
I'm thinking it might be nice to have a central way to manage access, and that it should for flexibility be something that acts directly with htaccess/htpasswd and the httpd.conf file (so as to be able to manage access over virtual domains...). I'm thinking in terms of the httpd.conf (or, for better management, maybe an included file) so as to get away from needing .htaccess files in target directories.
Recomendations?
