Download Mirrors- Auto Tansfer Script?

Hi all,

I have heard of a script/protocol/program which will automatically get/download/transfer files automatically between servers, and this is done where download mirror sites are used so that you don't have to upload files to the other download servers/mirrors everytime you update your site....you only have to upload to one server, and the other servers will get the files automatically....

I have a website, with many download mirrors on different servers obviously, now is it possible to get one of these scripts/programs, so that I wont have to upload files to every server, everytime I update the site with new files...so that I only need to upload to one server, and the other servers will transfer the file to the other download mirrors, ready for people to download.

Can someone please inform me of what this script is?
