i noticed that on the www.independent.co.uk website the extensions of the pages end in .ece why is this?

It looks like some type of file extension for some scripting language or something of the sort. Maybe it's used by macromedia or something like that. I couldn't find much on it in a google search. It could be something to do with WebCT or something like that, where people have developed their own script language that runs on their servers. I think that's how WebCT started anyway. Either way, it's an extension for some reason and may only be specific to a few sites. |
