Getting the submit button to send a form

Hello,
My name is Mery and I am designing a webpage using dreamweaver. I haven't taken any coureses and I have pretty much taught myself, but I am still new to all of this.
I have a form on my website, and I would like it sent to my email address, but don't know how to go about doing this. Is there a simple script I can add to my page. I keep hearing something about a CGI script...don't really know what all this is about, and I need someone to talk to me like a baby.

Anyone there that could help me? It would be so greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Well, you need a CGI or PHP script to be the "action" so that the form can be executd and sent out.

Probably the classic script is Matt's FormMail (http://www.scriptarchive.com/formmail.html). He has some good documentation with starter forms to get you started.

Good luck .
