Hi I would like some help

I m new to this scripting scene and wondered is there a way in bash that i can bring up a text based menu for backups and restoring my home directory as well as incremental backups so the menu should look like this
1. Full backup
2.Incremental Backup
3. Restore
4,Exit
I have found small snippets on backups but none include a menu driven system i hope someone can assist with my query .
