Looking for Open Source Blog
Hi,

I am looking for an open source blog package. I want to set it up for an alumni site.

I want it something like http://www.livejournal.com

I googled and found this http://www.opensourceblog.com/ website. It has a lot of open source blog packages but I couldn't find, what I was looking for. It has blog systems which r multi users but all the users post in one blog...more like forums.

I am looking for something which will create a directory for every user and give him a personal blog like

mydomain.com/user1
mydomain.com/user2

I am sure that something like this would be already there, but I can't find it. If anybody has an idea about it then plss. let me know

php/mysql - best out there now that MT has gone to paid only.

you'll have to do some editing for the dir thing - but it can work easily.

There is a free MT version it's still fully functional

try URL there are links to every kind of CMS you could possibly want including blogs, portals, ecommerce, elearning etc...
