osCommerce: Quality or not?
What are the opinions around here about the osCommerce code base? Is it suitable for a professional site? BTW, I know it does not use templates, no interest in that.

Although I would not be the best member to comment on osCommerce since I have not personally used it myself, I do know I have heard many good things about it. As far as professional websites, I guess that depends on your definition of what a professional website is. I would think it would work fine.

There are some security holes in osCommerce a year or two back it was riddled with security holes. Its not too bad now however I havent used it since. Depending on your server configuration and operating system your server is on there is a chance you may find a Bug within the installation, which is actually relatively common so just a heads up incase you need to fix things in the Installation.
