Request - Admin script to change permissions
I am moving web directories between Linux systems and need to change permissions (chmod, chown & chgrp) on multiple files and sub- directories.
The directory structure for each site is the same, so does anyone have a generic unix admin script that can be modified and run from a base directory to automate this process? Thanks. |

why not just use the -R option to recurse from the base directory thru to the nodes..
eg chown -R christo * christo

First. Apologies for delay in response. I've had some odd routing and firewall problems with my ISP which has allowed me to get to some sites, but not others.
Second. Thanks for the suggestion about the use of the -R option. I'm still learning!! Regards, |
