I am looking for a Classifieds ads script for a gem site.
Must have paypal options for ad placements.

Have tried the one from Geodesic.

What might be the best scripts around?

Anyone?

I think it might be becoming if you provided some more information. Not everyone knows what a gem site is nor do they know what Geodesic is either (myself included). A google search revealed sites about gemstones, which didn't seem related to any 'scripting' at all.

So .. what exactly do you mean? Also, let us know what operating system you wanted to know about, windows scripting is very different than *nix scripting.

you should either buy one of these premade sites or pay someone to write one for you. This is no small task and definitely cannot be described as a 'script'. scripts are usually small to medium sized programs .. this thing you are talking about is a very complicated fully featured website.

Unless I'm missing something here all you really need is an inventory system with a db linked shopping cart. There's a lot of these out there from free to expensive but just about any should fit the bill. You need to track inventory and make sales on that inventory, makes no real difference to the database/scripts/UI if you're selling gemstones, cosmetics, t-shirts or grass seeds. On your end though you'd have to do a good job of photographing examples and getting good descriptives (especially if you actually plan to sell any).
