Service Monitor
My boss seen a service monitor that showed status on an ISPs site and he thought that was cool. I decided to make my own for our company, I'm just not sure i'm doing it the right way.
Here's the phps: http://connections.hnet.net/ngh/services.phps I couldn't find any examples and i'd like to add more features later. Anyone do this before or know of open source scripts that do it? |

It looks like you've made a good start.
Was there any specific aspect of this code that you were having trouble with, or are you just looking for more ideas? Here's a link to a server status script that I've seen used on a number of web hosting services: http://www.nagios.org Haven't had a chance to try it out myself, seems simple enough though.

Moved to the Scripts forum, since thats what we're really talking about.
Glad the link helps out... sounds like a cool project. The Scripts forum would be a great place for you to post the final code, as I'm sure other developers would love to be able to use something like this. |

Haro,
That script you wrote is awsome, one question though. Any idea why the last service is always unavailable? it does not matter which one you put last it is unavailable. thanks, |
