Question shell script to insert record into the database
Hi,

Does anybody here have an idea on how to insert a record in the database using a shell script?

You asked if anyone had an idea how to insert a record into a db using a shell script, I answered yes - you didn't ask how you'd do it... if you expect anything other than a yes/no answer, you need to ask the right question first.

Something like 'I'm trying to insert records into a MySQL database using Bourne Shell scripting - how can I do this?' is infinitely better than 'Does anybody here have an idea on how to insert a record in the database using a shell script?'. What would be even better would be if you included what code you already had or your ideas on how you might solve the problem.
