Text based browser MMORPG
HI!

Fisrt of all I'm quite a noob in programing so pls pardon me if I ask stupid questions.

I have alot of great ideas about makeing a game but have no clue how to do it. The game would be similair to www.stargatewars.com but with new ideas....

Anyway do you guys know any scripts or a program or smth wich I could use to make the development as easy as possible (prefferably a fill in-type of design?)

I would really, really apreciate any help

p.s.: sorry if I posted this thread in an unapropriate area...

A lot of the web based games like that use php/mysql

Sql is really easy to learn, and php.net is the resource to get you into PHP.

well I have 1 forum in php and I had a page in mysql but I never started from scratch.... so I would need a bit of a start boost at least

If you are interested in PHP/MYSQL browser based gaming you may look into Legend of the Green Dragon.

The game itself is nice but may not be what your looking for, although by looking through the source and the modifications it can give you a feel for a better design.
