Where can I find web statistics script / software?
Hi,
I read on web statistics software that you can add to a website to track everything thats going on in the site. I wanted to add a free script and/or web statistics tool but I notice that most of them out there add an icon to the web page, and some dont track the whole website just the index.htlm or entry page. Does anyone know where I can find the most indepth tracking script or software thats free, prefereably without an icon. Thank you |

"webalizer" is free and completely customizable.
"awstats" is another one that I have never worked with, but I have seen the output and it seems much more detailed than webalizer. The "icon" is afaict the file "favicon.ico" or similar, just remove it from the folder. hth, M.

five years late, but well...
Yeah, "google analytics" is the new name for what used to be called "urchin". Nice tracking tool especially as it integrates well with AdWords and "what's-it-called" "experiment-moving-ads-and-content-around-on-the-page software tool".... -- Manuel |
