    Usb backup script?


    Hey guys, i was looking to create a batch script in vista that would be able to perfrom an incremental backup of files i have on my usb once i plug it in to my laptop. i havent really done scripts before so was wondering if it was possible and if anyone could shed some light on the situation? any info would be much appreciated!

    I haven't used or looked for anything like this, but if you're technical enough you could mock something up using rsync. Not certain how you'd trigger rsync to run when the USB is plugged in... you might want to post on the Windows or VB forum for ideas. Read up on rsync, though, it'll give you all the faculties you need to do incremental file transfers/updates.
