Looking for a user Auth tool to restrict access

    Hello all,

I'm trying to building a new site and need to implement a client access login using php and mysql running on windows that will return a different directory for each user.

What I'm really looking for is an administration application that will allow me to add users and map each user to a different directory.

    Any assistance is much appreciated.

a cgi script named as protect.pl is doing exactly that.
The pasword file includes also the folder name where that user has to go and redirect.
Ones the user is in that folder he can only browse that folder and his subfolders. Protect.pl does not allow him to go up in the folder hierachy.

Where can we find this script? I have been searching for it, but the site where all of the script sites point appears to be gone? Anyone got a copy?

    Thanks,

    Richard

Hmm, I checked and you are right, the web site is down.

However, I'v got a copy for you and if you are familiar with cgi, I think Michael Nilsson, who is the author did a good job in "how to Install" descriptions.
