What language is best suited for my needs?

I need to write a script that will analyze the source code of a shopping website and determine whether a product is in stock or out of stock. I would need the code to be able to integrate with my website so that it can display whether the item is in stock or not. I would also like to be able to have it send me an email when something that is out of stock becomes in stock.

What language(s) do I need to start to learn. I have taken a class on C and I know decent HTML and CSS. What would be easiest for me to learn?

    Thanks for the help!

I would first check whether this is legal or not.

What is your purpose of displaying someone else's stock levels on your website? Are you trying to drag business away from the original shopping site?
If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper
