#1 at all costs?

Assuming a large budget for the initial launch of a site that provides online services, what is the best way to achieve a high search spot across a variety of the top search engines (as well as advertisement). I am thinking a high bid on overture to start? Please advise, thank you in advance.

Do NOT use Overture for your PPC campaign, use Google AdWords - 99% of people get better (or should I say best?) result with it.

I'll back that - I stopped using overture and diverted those funds to Adwords. Both programs were bringing traffic, bu the overture traffic was cra*.

adword is a good start for generating traffic and figuring out user behaviors. You can improve your rankings in organic serach by SEO too.

Depends on too many things - can't answer with the info you provided. How about a link to the site in question?
