AOL Proxy overloading site
I am seeing so many connections from proxy.aol.com that it is overloading our site.
For instance, the following examples take a up about a third of all traffic to the site:
cache-ntc-ab06.proxy.aol.com
cache-ntc-ab05.proxy.aol.com
cache-ntc-ab04.proxy.aol.com
...etc, etc.
I am wondering what the consequences of banning *.proxy.aol.com would be.
I do not want to turn away AOL visitors somehow but by the same token if all the proxy servers are doing is caching our site content then I simply can't have that get in the way of real visitors.
