Bing for SEO

In the search engine wars, Microsoft has been nowhere to be found when it comes to market share. In fact, they nearly spent over $40 billion to buy Yahoo which is a distant competitor to Google which owns about a 75% market share of searches. In the latest battle for search engine market share, Microsoft has launched a new search engine called Bing and everyone is reviewing the information.
Search engine optimization is critical for any business because SEO, acronym for search engine optimization, is how your business shows up when a potential customer enters a query on Google, Yahoo, or now Bing. As you’ve heard me say in other articles, search engines are the yellow pages of today; just the order that your business is found is based on importance and not how much money you’ve spent with that advertiser.
The big so what on Bing is that we now have another search engine to check as we make sure to search engine optimize our websites. Microsoft has very deep pockets and is very willing to launch products while losing money, learn about the consumer product experience, and then make adjustments to gain market share. Microsoft has been very focused on Google as their primary competitor in recent years and the attractive PPC revenues will be the reason that Bing will be around and revamped for several years unless Microsoft makes an acquisition in this category. As a full search web development company that offers website design and search engine optimization services, we will continue to monitor the development of Bing as a search engine to make sure our search engine optimization services and our website design will be friendly to the search engine.

I think no matter what Microsoft tries to do it will never come close to google. Anyways Microsoft has made it clear for now they plan to get to the number 2 spot and then plan ahead for number 1 spot

Bing has interesting layout than Google ... it is a fact

But for really competing and defeating Google, it will need a real much uncountable effort to do so

I tried searching Bing & Google for "What Should Pregnant Women Eat?"

I thought it'd be humorous because of their ad on TV about how Bing is the world's first decision making engine from Microsoft.

Well, Google did just as well, if not better, than Bing did on making a decision and delivering me content.

I liked the first result on Google better, because it actually tried to refer to my question, whereas Bing just grabbed the most closely related article found on http://msnbc.msn.com. I don't like that.. Not one bit.

Google's #1 Result:
Quote:
What should I eat during pregnancy?
What sort of food should pregnant women eat? A well-balanced diet should contain something from all the food groups: dairy products, fruit, vegetables, ...
www.netdoctor.co.uk/health_advice/facts/pregnantdiet.htm - Cached - Similar -

Bing's #1 Result:
Quote:
Should pregnant moms eat fish?
LONDON - Women who eat seafood while pregnant may be boosting their children’s IQ in the process, according to new research published Friday in The Lancet. The results of the ...
* www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17185324 * · Cached page

So they're definitely different, but I don't know if Bing will take off. Simply because of the crooked advertisement half-way implying they invented the first decision making engine, when really, every program ever made has decisions to make. Even Microsoft programmers embed decision making skills within their works. It's what makes the computer.. A computer! It computes things.

Anyway, Bing is surely a worthy competitor for Ask, Yahoo, and even Google.

We all know that Microsoft is capable of becoming, (and remaining), number 1. My site's search results are much better on MSN than they are on Bing.

Actually, Bing is hard for me to find myself on. It's hard for me to find anything I'm actually trying to find. I really wonder how Bing SEO will effect our world.. All I know is that it's gotta be a bit different compared to other search engines. Like Internet Explorer is to other browsers.

I need to change some of the ways I do things to come up well on Bing. Though I don't know what yet, I'll come back if I make any breakthroughs.
