How does this change SEO results?
Hi;
Which one is better for SEO:
site.c om/articles/golf-tips
site.c om/articles/345
Both pages have the title "Golf Tips" etc etc etc.....

They're the same. URLs do not matter nearly as much for SEO as they used to.
However the first one is better for humans. It does require that you guarantee "golf-tips" is unique - whether that should be the case already is debatable. If you think you might want to reuse titles (and I can think of cases where that's fine) then do the hybrid approach with both the number and slug in there.
