Deleted Domains
I actually developed my class web this year and used .tk, .cjb.net, .sg.tf, .edu.tf, .vze.com as redirection URL's. Now that I've removed them, when googled, why do they still appear? Any ideas?

It will take a while for Google to realise those sites do not exist any more. When it sends it's spider around it will discover the sites do not exist, but it might be that there was a server problem, so it will try several times before removing the websites from it's index.
If you still have access to the hosting for all the sites, you could upload a blank page to the sites, re-submit them to Google via the add URL page and then wait a couple of weeks. The spider will come around, and change the cached version to the blank page, you should then stop coming up for searches. Otherwise, if you wait long enough it will realise the pages have been taken down and remove them from it's index itself. |
