I recently posted some links to my site on digg.com and they banned me, what a bunch of scumbags.

Anyway i got about 30 visitors from the links for half a day.

I guess they might have considered your links as spam or possibly you might have submited in bulk. Also note as per their TOS Digg may remove any Content and Digg accounts at any time for any reason.

How many links did you post on digg.com in a day? I suppose too many links to your sites posted on the same day might have prompted them to consider your links as spam as a result of which they banned you.

Apart digg there are plenty of social networking & bookmarking sites are already available, why not join there if they have banned you on digg.

That's not even peanuts.I have seen people getting backlinks and almost 50,000 visits a day on their website from Digg.com.
Their server could not withstand so much load and they had to transfer the website on a completely different server.

I also agree that there are loads of social networking sites online but only a couple are as good as Digg.

Was post links to your site all you did? Digg is promoted all over as a social bookmarking site so, taken literally, if you saved a bunch of bookmarks without caring about getting Diggs, they shouldn't have cared. However, if you then tried to get a bunch of Diggs by posting on forums, Yahoo! groups, Usenet groups, etc. and they found out, then they'd delete your posts.
