Hello,
I had posted this on digital point and still, I'm not getting any answers. I hope someone knowledgeable on this forum can answer my question. I am so stumped on what I found today on my tutorials website! I noticed after logging into my site that my submit page has a google page rank of 4/10!!!! I'm stumped because it's not really seen meaning that only members have access to this page. I noticed it by using the firefox plugin from, the "address is blocked", where it shows the PR of any webpage you view. See, normally if a non member clicked on the submit link, it would redirect them to the login page using PHP header location. Screen Shot: Look at the bottom right hand corner! however, address blocked: See forum rules since I'm new. Sorry, I can't provide a screen shot... Can anyone please explain to me why this has happened? I went and check my Google webmaster tools and had not seen any links to the actual submit page as I had stressed earlier that it's sessions protected! ![]() |

Hi jrsprice what does the Google toolbar PageRank say? It may just be an error in the tool you have used.
If it is not an error it must be a security problem with your login script and something linking to a page internally which links to it or the webmaster tools not picking up a direct link to it. Are any other internal pages showing this problem with acquiring equity. I personally would make sure I was logged out and access 1 by 1 every page that is ment to be secured if you dont get redirected you know you have found the problem. Also do a site search on your domain looking for indexof files to see if 1 is present and that has left a way in for the search engines. To get around it anyway, as this is still equity, I would provide a link to your home page from that include and place the meta noindex in the head of the page. If there is no head create one and place it in there. That way any equity you do have goes to your home page and the submit page gets removed from the index. PHP Code:
Will do it. Also stupid question but does the page before it have a PR of 4? If so it will be that equity that is showing on the redirect script, and not the page it self if you can not find any errors. It'll be down to the fact that the tool hasn't changed from the previous page if this is the case. Jaz Last edited by jazajay : August 16th, 2008 at 05:00 AM. |
