Google and Dynamic Content.
Hello,
I have a simple question on google about websites which display the information dynamically. The question is: Would google know what your website contains if all the information you have on it is loaded from a database? and how would they know that if they do not have access to my database? regards and thanks, sim085 |

Dynamic pages are generated by a server-side language (e.g. PHP) so all the getting data from databases is done before the page is sent to the browser (or to the googlebot). So google will see what your script outputs - the same as what is sent to your browser when you load the page.
Google doesn't go into your database. If you want to see a representation of what a spider would see on loading your page, go to seochat.com's spider simulator. |

hi,
dynamic pages are database driven pges and these pages do not exist in your database. according to the request or demand of the browser it appears before you. and crawler never be able to read these database driven pages. yes the page can be crawlled if you take some steps: 1) make a static page and give link to all dynamic pages. 2) make site structures 3) better to go for a site map site map is the best way to make your site crwalable. consider these steps and your site willbe crawled by google crawler as google loves sitemap and static pages cheers rudradatta |

The simple answer is that google cannot look into your database. Google (and everybody else) only see that content that you put on webpages. So if you have content in you database that you do not put on a webpage, then google won't see it.

![]() that information was really helpfull and I found it intresting the spider thing.Just one question, how will that spider get to know there are new websites, from the links inside a page? Also how can a spider search all the pages in so little time. I mean google only takes around a second to display a result! regards, sim085 |

The spider doesn't crawl your site when someone searches. It crawls ahead of time and stores it's data in googles database. Then, when they search, a different program goes through google's database and comes up with results.
Funny question, though... |

google see what you show him from your database through your page
the difference between google and a regular user is that googlebot will not post search queries |

That's why many sites have a feature whereby you can see the results of previous (or popular) searches. Google follows these links, as if it had performed the search. |
