Listing Web Site with Google Search Engine is the first step of your New Website Promotion. The more links you get, the quicker your site will be indexed.

Hello nookie

You do not have to submit to google and yahoo. Just get a few good links from good sites and your site will be indexed in a few days.

I seem to have the Opposite problem on my website... Google and other search engines crawl me daily, but I am having a hard time getting more links to my site.

Make sure you use devsheds ability to put your link on the bottom of all your posts, and update your site daily so that when googlebot does come, it comes again.

How else have you been looking for links besides forums?

I have been writting articles for other sites, linking with other sites (scattering the links to referrers through out my site), emailing relevant sites, and most of the other common methods found thoughout sites on google.

Though infoweb is still not in dmoz yet.

Hello!

Did you hear about this problem before, can you help me with some advice?
We have www.3e.ro indexed on google since December 2004.

Two months ago there were indexed on google 170 page. A month and a half ago google indexed almost all our pages: 2000. The problem is that this was only for a week. Then, little by little, it started to lose pages, from 2000 to 1500 to 1000 in only one week. Now (there is already a month since it droped that down) is back to 170 indexed pages.

I dont know if this is normal. What happend? Why google droped the number of the pages and doesn't reindex them back?

Thanks for your answer!
Sorin

dejaone - I disagree with your article. Generally ou should use the same techniques to optimize an established site as a new site. In addition search engine sumbission should be the last thing you do - not the first. Google and other search engine spiders Hate unfinished sites and will adjust your rank accordingly.

------

sorinbanu - This could be for mutiple reasons... first the more established and well ranked sites are that have links back to your site the better your rank and position, the opposite is also true. You could have had 1000 links on some good sites, but those sites may have lost their rank, thus killing your rank and position. Additionally they could have removed your links or buried them in their site with content that is not relavent to your site. Lastly you may have recently added new content that is not related to your old site, did a redesign the spider hates, or you may have gotten sand boxed.
