    Talking Google likes domain names

Here is no doubts that Google likes domain names. The vary first priority google gave to the domain name similar to / matching the search query.
Beside this, there are two other important parameters too which google consider.

    1. Fresh content on website
    2. Rapidness of new content available on website.

Here is the example to justify my point:
Look on these two websites as Guru.com or 99Desk.com
The domain name i.e. Guru / 99desk does not have any resemblance to the keywords as freelancing , programming, web development, coder, outsourcing , developer etc. But still these websites have very good ranking over google.

    What are your views?

Having a domain that matches keywords might help some, but it's not very important.

Content and backlinks with your desired anchor is more important.

I think that google don't bother about domain name but it could count it if you will use backlinks like URL without anchor text

i think domain having keyword is most influence. you dont have to do much work on that i mean if you are doing some less work still you will able to achieve desire result. of-course some inevitable things are necessary that you cant avoid in anycase but as per my view good domain name certainly much much impact on seo.

What you are saying is right, Google display websites with keywords in URLs in top position. but this is not a hard and fast rule. There are many other ways of rankings on top.

In fact Matt Cutts has said that keywords in URLs may appear spammy to the search engines and this should not be the prime focus.

Keyword URLs definitely look spammy, especially for long tail keyword combinations ...

I would give more trust and authority to the site:

    companyname-solutions.com

    than to

    companyname-car-insurance-alabama.com

I think the importance of keyword URLs is still a big issue. There are gonna be new toplevel domains from 2012, so new odds to create new keyword urls like:

    companyname-car-insurance.alabama
    car-insurance.companyname
    companyname-solutions.alabama

Yes, Google likes domain name very much. Domain name helps you at some point to get ranking in search engine if it defines your niche. But also you need to do continuous SEO for your website.

If you're using your target keyword as your domain name then, you have the an advantage to rank top in Google. Much more if you have better SEO techniques.

    Cool Not important

Nowadays it's not so important like first time Google start to use it.

Today content and good backlinks are the most important.
