Google Question
Recently I have updated my web site and the question is how long does it take google to update the changes? I have made changes to the title, meta tags, and keywords. I have already been listed on google. Just wondering how long would it take for google to reflect the changes?

When you update a page the spider will re-crawl it for sure but the ranking could go ups or down which depends upoon the content, however it is advised to keep your page clean and crisp.
I think, keeping changing it just for the sake of ranking might not produce the desired results. |

I changed the site because the previous design was 4 years old and figure it was time for an update. I hope that it will also help boost my ranking in google and yahoo

Google will spider your site fairly regularily for changes to content, meta tags etc. One option to help increase the spider-ability of your site is to use google sitemaps.
Also, PageRank (which is the big update for google) was just recently done a couple of weeks ago. It is done (roughly) on a quarterly basis, and is based on quality/quantity of backlinks to your site. Hope that helps.

Google weight averages of scores derived from meta tags, keyword density, pagerank, formatting, alt tags, the domain name and etc.
It's better to update your page and add few good contents (The content should be visible, original and unique of genuine value) as overall google loves good contents. |
