Google's link:
I have a site (anchorracing.com) which when you search link:anchorracing.com in google, it does not return any results. When you search for 'anchorracing', it shows up sites with press releases about us and those sites have an href link to us. The no results from the link search of course means we have a pagerank of 0. Anyone find this weird? It works on other search engines. Could it be because they link to www.ANCHORRACING.com instead of being in lower case?

Google doesn't want to show links promptly. By the time it does report links, it shows a sample of links, not all links.
In google, it's common to see a page with a link ranks higher than the page it links to. Google's algo think the first page have a high quality. You need to improve the overall quality of your site. I've explained this in a short article "From PageRank to SiteRank".
