Not only haven't I not noticed an increase in traffic in google, but google doesn't seem to want to spider my site since I put the map in my root directory.

According to its activitiy notes on my account page, google has downloaded my sitemap 4 times but it's yet to respider my site. Which I'd really like since I restructured my site since the last time.

MSN, Alta Vista, and Yahoo have all spidered me since the restructuring but I think google is just sitting in its bedroom and giggling at me.

That is by far the best thing I have ever heard! Lol!

I havn't seen anything from google either, since I put up the site map. I also did a redesign, and still nothing.

How long did it take the other seach engines to grab your new data?

I got lucky for some reason. Yahoo did it overnight (their search engine not their directory) and msn took less than a week. Alta Vista did it about the same time that yahoo did.
