Google Specific Keyword Problem

Hello, I'm not new to SEO but I'm far from experienced. My company website is located here:

Archeus Studios

My question is, I've optimised the website design service page for the keywords "Website Design Worthing" and "Website Design Worthing Sussex". That page is located here:

Website Design

My hope was that I would over time, get good results on Google for both those terms (alongside Web Design Worthing etc).

However, I get number 5 on Google for "Website Design Worthing Sussex", but I don't appear in the results AT ALL for "Website Design Worthing", not even in the omitted results.

I can't get my head around that one!

Can anyone identify anything I'm doing wrong?

Hey there,

i didn't want you to think that no one here took the time to help you.

I looked at your site, and then took some tools to the site to compare them to other competitors websites.

I don't have a good explination as to why your one term has a better placement than the other.

But while I was typing this, I thought of one idea.

What key words/phrases are you using when you get backlinks from other sites to yours. If you are getting links mainly from the term that placed higher, there might be your solutions.

It seems like a shot in the dark, but something like that could be it.

Cheers!

Kris

This is interesting. I know it is harder to rank for a 3 word phrase than a 4 word phrase, but I would think you would show up somewhere. The one thing I did notice was that not only are you not showing up in google for this term, but you are not coming up in yahoo either. actually, you are not in yahoo for either term. you are # 1 in msn.

I figured you didnt' have enough backlinks so I checked and you only have 11. So, you may want to work on that.

Anyway, I checked the #1 ranked site figuring they had a lot more backlinks. Nope, they only have 8. Maybe they have 1 or 2 high pr links? They rank high on all se's.

Try looking into the backlinks for the top 5 sites using the site above. Maybe you could try to get your link on those sites as well.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Now this is funny, I was just checking to see if Google had updated and finally put my website listing for Archeus Studios in its results.

Lo and behold what is at Number 10 in the results for "Website Design Worthing"? THIS VERY POST!

I'm at a complete loss!

Although, I'm now appearing consistently between places 1-6 on Yahoo.
