had anyone trued yahoo paid submission

Hi,

yahoo has one deal called "Search Submit Express". I was wondering if anyone has tried that? What I understood, you pay annunal fee and plus $.30/click. But still there is no gurantee that you will be on top.

Thanks

They get the money just to index your site and not for the positioning of your keywords. - it is in their terms and conditions, true or false, I don't know -.

I wonder who would do such a deal. the annual price is good for indexing but paying $.30/click is not worth. I think people can spend their money on much better ways to attract visitors.

as far far as I know, not many use "Search Submit Express". You can get Yahoo easily without a annual fee.

The only time I would really recommend this is if you are confident that your pages are that good that they would rank high and you must have them show up sooner than waiting for the spiders to come around.

Again, it would only make a difference if you were going to get decent ratings to begin with. Otherwise, not recommended at all.

I do highly recommend their PPC service if your advertising is worth paying for (if the results net more than the cost). It is a better value than Google Ad Sense if you set it up right. Other than Google and Yahoo (formerly Overture), I would not recommend any other PPC company (maybe Looksmart). The rest allow fradulent clicks, whether they admit it or are aware of it or not. I have tried them all, one at a time, and compared results and there are HUGE differences.

I've spent several years and hundreds of thousands of other people's money investigating this so take my word for it if your smart. Do not buy into anyone PPC company's pitches except the ones I have listed. And you still have to work at optimizing your campaigns (and your site) for them to be worth the money you will pay out.

thanks a lot to everybody, very useful suggestions. I have a question. How come some sites become so popular so fast. It can not be through engine. Other days I was listening on CNN, this guy said we opened site to help out victims from 'Katrina' and we had so many thousands hit yesterday. Then this boy said few months back I opened a site to collect toys for kids in Iraq and in 5 days I am geting hunrdeds of people vsiting my site. How does that happen? They must have been using other means to market their site?

Thanks
