Headers and search engines
if i create a <h#> tag where the
text is yellow, the background of the page is, green and the table background is green but the cell has a gif background image that is yellow (same as header text) is that going to be viewed as hiding text when the bot come crawling onto my site? (BTW i am changing what i can over to css, i've been reading and it will happen soon.) The reason I need to this is because when you use a header tag, it line breaks, and then everything gets moved down. So i guess one more question: should i use a header tag at the bottom of my text? Is there a way to keep a header tag from line breaking? |

I don't think that a spider can look into the color of the gif image (or any image). I know they can get an image and cache it, but as for detecting color, I don't think they've moved that far.
As for the uesrs (which come before SEO), I would make sure you change that little bug (as you mentioned you were going to) as soon as possible. |

You should use the code that is correct for the text. Is the text a header? or are you just trying to easily make it bold and bigger? Use the proper tag for the data/text, then fix your problems with CSS.
