Help getting listed on search engines

Hello everyone, A friend and I developed our first website for a family business, www.wellingtoncase.com and we submitted it to the major search engines Google, Yahoo!, MSN etc. about 3 months ago. We are not listed on any of them yet and only show up if you search wellingtoncase, wellingtoncase.com, or www.wellingtoncase.com And then the only results that do come up are a wellingtoncase.com link and a few links to forums we posted in. Why are we not showing up? I know we have no links on our site but it has been three months since we submitted. In fact, a month ago we were showing up on Yahoo if you searched for custom cases chicago, but then that stopped showing up a week later. Any help would be most appreciated. Thank You.

You need to get some links from furniture-related sites or directories. At the moment the only links you have coming in are from a post on photozo.com and this page, both of which are of too low a Page Rank to show on a Google links check (I found them from Alltheweb.)

I suggest submitting it to DMOZ.org, which will take ages to come through but is well worth it when it does - but only submit once, don't hassle them or they'll reject your site. Then search about for furniture places that give links (i.e. search for "furniture links") and find some sites that will link to this one.

It'll still take a while for things to work themselves out on Google and the other engines, but it should start coming up for searches at some point.

As a general part of your page - I'd suggest moving that lump of Javascript to an external .js file and calling it in rather than having it on the page like that. The less code you have on the page the better.

Thanks for the advice. We cleaned up some of the code. Hopefully, this will help. Thanks again.
