Help with my website stats
Something very wierd happened over the last 2 months. In Jun 2006, my website had 1200-1500 unique visitors a day. All of a sudden, within a matter of 2 weeks, it dropped to 400-500 unique visitors a day. I am not banned from any search engine. The only country that has my website banned is UAE, and it is not really affecting the stats. I have noted that from all countries, the visitors have drastically dropped..... even permanent visitors. Nothing wrong with the website either. Can someone help and tell me , whats going on?

Google has been really unstable lately, I've seen a drop in visitors as well. The best thing to do is nothing, if you change your SEO too much then it could be bad. Google will recover as long as you're not doing anything too dodgy.

Well
Its not just about google. My ranking on google was not very good anyway. Its like my website is still on #1 or #2 on yahoo, MSN, dogpile etc..... even aol & hotbot, but still, something is really wrong. For instance, from USA, i used to recieve 20 GB of transfer rate, it has dropped down to 200 MB ONLY, and similar is the case from every country.

What type of site do you run? (ie is it seasonable, time based, news based that might go out of flavour if not constantly updated). Can you post a link?
maybe you should look at getting better google results as maybe a competitor has checked you & spent some cash on getting better results, hence less visitors. Have a look on the seochat forum on how to get better results.
I doubt that any competitor would be able to disable inbound links & also doubt website leeching. Possably someone noticed what you were doing, analysed your site & improved theirs to get your visitors. Most people go to the site that quickly solves whatever problem they have, and if they use the most powerful search-engine (google) & if your not highly ranked there they wont visit you.
Hotbot & dogpile (dont know about the others) also use google results.
