The popular languages are Chinese, English. But I suggest English version on your website. Then you can promote from your English ver. to your French ver. .. Can you give more clear info about your question?

my client want rank in french language (google.fr), this is my first project but how can do for google.fr ?

Oh, as you said above. Just finish it on French language! I just thought about mutual language website.. Focus on the main keyword or product you client is about. Start with low competition keywords in 3 or 4 words and 2 words if you have good domain already ( contained keywords in domain ). Good luck, dude!
