what do you mean, search domain name? or add search function in your website, if what you want it the latter, you can check google.com, it will help you do that

Can't you add the google search mechanism to your site, to have it search either google, or your site. I think I saw somewhere where you can do this....

While I would agree 100% on using the google api like Gnome101 said, there is another that is quite usefull or most static content thats written in php. http://www.isearchthenet.com/isearch/ I've used it twice before and it seemed to work quite well. There is a free version as well as a paid/pro that allows more features.

(Although the name brings question to the malware program isearch, it's pretty easy to tell they are not related by the information on this page.
