hello,
I've been optimizing the pages on my company's site for the past few months, and I've been noticing that for many search terms, the search engines still show the old descriptions for the homepage (before I optimized it). Sometimes, they just show content from the page, instead too. My question is, how long it usually takes for the search engines to show the new descriptions? -- because it's been about two months; and why does it seem random as to what description is shown per search term?? Is this normal? Also, why would it just show content from the page sometimes when there is a description in there? |

The content is if you search for a specific term it will display the part of the webpage highlighting the term. Maybe you should make a SiteMap for Google and set it update frequency high so Google will crawl it more often.
