how many times should i submit?

hey all. I am confused i thought i read on a search engine submission info that you should only submit once and if you submit more then you are likely to get the site removed althogther...is this true as someone has recently sed that it is a good idea if you submit your site a 5 or 6 times a month...!!!

if anyone can clear this up that would be great

any more and you get blacklisted
but i dont see the point once youve bee indexed anyway

There's no point re-submitting unless your content has changed. Even then, if you change pages or add new pages frequently, the regular 'freshbot' spider that Google sends out will see that you update frequently and schedule your site for more regular full spidering.

These days re-submitting a site that hasn't changed doesn't get you an advantage. They send a bot around, see that it's the same as the copy they all ready have in the cache, then ignore it. Better to spend your time writing new content or building up links from other sites.

There's no point in submitting at all, just get links pointing to your site.

because if google sees your site listed on other websites it will automatically list you anyway

Indeed i can...the site i am working on at the mo is called FabHols and can be found at www.fabhols.com i wont explain what it is as the name kinda speaks for itself and if ya like u can take a look
It is not my site .... whos is it...well that comes from answering your second question - what do i do? I am a uni student! But to earn a little cash i work on websites, this is one i have worked on with a friend. The are/will be others too

do you mind if i also ask which uni you go to? as im starting at 1 in either bolton or preston in september not sure which 1 to go yet
