Batter if you place one way link exchange advertise in high PR site you can get traffic as well as PR, (lots of high traffic sites offer text link advertise in) you have to put your site one way link 7 to 9 months in PR 6/7 sites. This way after 8/9 months you PR will be PR5 OR PR6 now you can offer link exchange to high PR site and lots of high traffic sites will be interested on your URL.

Now you can sale your link space and exchange link with high PR and high traffic sites because now your site have traffic and high page rank. [Page rank means your site importance in web and how much traffic you get from various partners OR affiliates]

Actually in my opinion link building with high traffic & high PR sites is the key of online business success. Note: try to exchange link with same category sites. Different category sites will not help your traffic OR ranking but same category site will help you to get PR and targeted traffic.

How can you find a 6/7 site? Just because it comes on the first page of every search engine?

Another problem im facing is that despite having a good looking website, many webmasters simply don't want to exchange links because it's of the same subject! I honestly don't understand why. I can understand the whole 'ewww, i dont want to place that button or banner on my site because it looks dead ugly' but in general Ive noted webmasters simply ignore you due to the genre of your website! Expecially if your targetting a website at a certain categoury of people. My website is about music and entertainment from bollywood and India so as you can emagine my website specialises in just a particular group of people. I could try expanding my sites subject and topic but that will only lead in a 'low quality website' with lack of detailed information etc etc.

Many people believe that links from unrelated sites are worthless. I don't think that, but it is a common belief now. I bet a lot of music and entertainment related sites would trade with you, there's a million of 'em.
