image.google has more privileges

Hi,

It's just come to my attention that image.google.com can see into my website despite the htaccess file blocking non-authorised visitors. Since google.com cannot see into the website, I'm wondering how image.google.com got to access these pages...

Thanks for the link, I've just read it. The problems this still poses are significant, however, because I'm forced to remove the htaccess protection while I wait for their crawler to spider the website. I don't want to do this, for obvious reasons.

Looks like I'll just have to leave those links alone. I'll think about it and decide later what to do.

BTW, I worked out what happened, which was this: between July and November last year I put in the htaccess protection and Google Image must've spidered the site sometime in that period.
