Increasing google rankings some more

linky.

It's got plenty of keywords, in <strong> tags although they won't show up as being bold, it's got a title that's keyword heavy, it's got the first 3 alt attributes with keywords in them and it's got the keyword at the end of the page.

With this, from the launch of the site 3 months ago, it's gone to a pagerank of 4, although i put sudden growth in the last month from 2 to 4 being down to my submission to about 80 directories.

How can I help my pagerank even more and get further up the search results ladder in addition?

I have also heard an RSS feed can seriously help with rankings, is this true?

Thanks
--James

As far as PR is concerned it's ALL about backlinks. Get them whichever way you can, and get as many as you can, that's the only way tht your PR will get higher. RSS Feeds help backlinks because the link property that's included with whatever the actual data feed is should be displayed along with the data, so you can earn backlinks like that.

One thing to remember is that PR alone doesn't get you rankings in the SERP's, it's only an vague number relating ot how many links you've got, not about how well your site will rank.

How else can i increase my ranking within the actual seach results? I'm trying to get consistent keyword text linking to me on high-PR sites which I believe will help.

Thanks.

What about multiple feed formats? Will that help me?

Yeah, RSS Feeds are good because they're constantly placing fresh content on your site.
Same idea w/ Blogs. I am working on a program at the office here that'll get the sales staff writing a weekly blog about new ideas/stuff pertaining to our industry.

And you're right on the money w/ keyword text links from high PR sites.

That's good you got up to PR4 so quickly...it gets tough after that.

Just keep building quality links and getting content, that'll help.

HTH

What about the multiple feeds in different formats? Will that help?

(I need to spread some more rep first, will give later.)

Well, i had just received an article this morning on the benefits of RSS, but i seemed to have deleted it, and can't find it now...sorry.

[edit]scratch that...found the link[/edit]

At any rate, just look at the different format feeds as beefing up content on your site. It definately can't hurt! Any way you get new content to your site (provided it's relevent and quality) will help.

HTH. No worries about the rep!

it's good to get backlinks from places, but I would believe that quality backlinks from places that have content related to your own would be better than a link from a casino site(unless you are casino ).

I think 100 quality backlinks are better than 500 random ones.

just my 2 cents.
