Is it a SEO trick to save filename with some keywords?

Sorry, I'm new member and I can't put URL yet. But I need some help and hope u can figure out the URL I put in here.

Pls go to this link.

vlisted dot com/My_Listings/page_1328159.html

Then just put the mouse point on the "View Details" links on some of those listing.

Here's one of the link.

vlisted dot com/SCHENECTADY/New_York/Homes/Schenectady/Mount_Pleasant/Agent/Listing_1047264.html

Is there a reason why they save this file with all those directory names?

I'm a programming I think it will be better to just create one script to pass an listing id so it will generate dynamic pages.

But I'm not sure what is the reason. Could this be SEO thing?

Thanks.

It is an SEO thing but also a usability thing to a large extent as well. That is a good way to get keywords into your URL which does have a little, stress "little" direct SEO value. It also has some indirect SEO value as when some webmasters link they use the keywords in the URL as their anchor text in their link. They also sometimes use the URL as the anchor text and this allows you to get the keywords into that anchor text.

From a usability point of view it tells humans exactly where they are and makes keep track of there whereabouts on your site much easier.

The names aren't "real" directories. Things like this are a prime example of using MOD REWRITE on Apache to achieve a more human readable URL thats also better for SE's to index. It's defiantly something worth learning

Using real words in directory listings is just one extra SEO technique but its worth doing. Anything can help and it is far more usable (which ultimateley is one of the things that the search engines look for too).

To use keyword in file name is one of the way to target keyword for that perticular page. so it will help to get ranking for the same.

That's the best way to apply those keywords in your url. Dynamic urls as shown by you are not at all user as well as search engine friendly so it's a great idea to use mod_rewrite and convert them into the static one. Most of the programmers are now becoming aware of SEO friendly programming and that's a great thing, you must learn this. That's today's demand.
