Hey guys
This is my first time visiting this forum and my first time ever registering in an English forum. So this is kinda' exiting ![]() However, I have just created my own project and I'm trying to optimize it in the best way, so google and other search engine will "like" my site. What I am trying to say is that I am trying to make my website search engine friendly. Can you please take a look on my site and tell me what more I can improve? I've set the meta tags, I am using <h#> on the headers, i am trying not to use images to often when describing something etc etc My site is FaSupport.com, and I would appreciate it if you helped me with the optimization. Thanks |

Just some quick notes of things I noticed that could be done better.
Homepage: Move "FASupport.com" to the end of the title e.g. "Free Ajax Support Application - FASupport.com". This way all your important keywords are at the beginning of the title. These are a waste of time: Code:
<meta name="robots" content="index,follow"/> <meta name="googlebot" content="index,follow"/> Robots will crawl your site if you have inbound links. The only reason you'd put a robots metatag in is if you _don't_ want robots to index/follow. There's not a lot of keywords near the top of the page. You may want to write in small grey text a brief description of the service at the very beginning of the code/page. Although this can sometimes be taken as spammy, if done correctly it can work quite well. Otherwise have your logo as the first html object on the page and put the text in the alt tag. What keywords are you trying to optimize for? I'd try now to get as many inbound links as possible.

I signed up for your site and was using your support as an online mechanism that offered a third way for my Client's to instantly get in touch with myself on my SEO Support Panel - installation was painless but each time I try and respond to a clients request I get an internal error message in the message area - Please Help!

Please ignore my above comment as the support window is working fine - I think it has potential.

Nice site, I noticed a couple of potential canonical weaknesses you should address (for SEO purposes):
1. Your site can be accesses with and without the "www" Although Google says they now have this "problem" covered, they still mess up from time to time so having 2 effective url's for your site can cause problems in several areas: duplicate content and "splitting" your incoming "link juice" (PR). For Unix/Apache you can fix this with a simple .htaccess command; for windows I believe you need to use Isapi rewrite (but I know nothing about windows servers :lol!: ). 2. Your internal "home page" links are aimed at: "h t t p : / / w w w . f a s u p p o r t . c o m / I n d e x . a s p" Change them all to aim at: "h t t p : / / w w w . f a s u p p o r t . c o m /" (sorry about the spaces but I can't post urls any other way) In addition, you could improve your optimization by adding alt tags to all images. I agree with Noodles about the title too... except that I would remove "F A S u p p o r t . c o m" altogether... it's just diluting your KW strength and is pointless. Personally I would also change the home page links from "Home" to "Ajax Support - Home". Good luck ![]() |

I can suggest you to register an account with Google and to follow their webmaster guidelines. The correspond with those other Seach engines have. I can also reccomend you to take a look at selfpromotion.com as well.
PS: Your site looks very good

If I was to experiment, I would change the title so that the first words are Free Ajax support. I would also put an "About" box, high up on the page that describes your service with a reasonable use of your key works.
Good luck! Rich |
