Killed myself in Google?
I recently signed up for the Google webmasters tools, and verified my site. The very next day, I started noticing a drop in traffic from Google. The site went from +- 500 googlers a day to +-200: less than half. Anybody else see something like this, or have any elaboration?
Thanks in advance.

The change in your hits from Google might not because of the signup. Google constantly refreshes their data centers to reflect the latest content across their index.
May I know do you mean that you are submitting a sitemap by signing up the webmasters tool?

I've heard such stories before...google claims they don't mess things up, but they get more info about your site once you submit sitemap, once you start using adsense, once you start using toolbar...etc...so you never know..

yeah, sometimes it's difficult to anticipate Google's algorithm.

For http://what-is-what.com the sitemap seems to have helped, but http://lyricslist.com is really suffereing now. What a drag.
