know where to get free links?

hi guys, I am looking for websites that are able to offer me links in their websites for free. wanna increase publicity of my website.

basically my website which offers free info for travellers.

so if anybody out there who wants to help out in this by offering links in their website, appreciate that.

or show me where I can get links

Get links from external sites to your site.

1) put your site url into your signature file while participating in forum discussion;
2) search Google for directories where you submit your site;
3) simply ask for a link when you find related sites which have link or rsources pages;
4) trade links with related sites.
5) if your site has interested and useful content, other sites will link to yours slowly but eventually.

hey....participating in forums is one of the best ways to link to sites with a high google PR and get the sites to link back to u...as somebody suggested in one of the earlier posts... all u have to do is post yr url in yr 'signature' field in your profile...and with every post u make in forums...yr link will b automatically publicised and help good links to link bak at u..try it and lemme know if it works out for u.

Sig links work, but should not be the only part of your linking strategy. Forum posts can exventually get pushed off in to nowhere & you lose the links.

They do help - and should be part of your strategy...just make sure it's not your whole strategy.

www.ipagerank.com is a pretty good place to pick up some links too.

I was reading about how some signatures get spidered so I thought I would post a reply to see for myself. I manage a couple of websites:

I'm going to check my Google inbound links and see if this page is getting indexed as mentioned in previous posts.
