Link exchanges
Hi, I hope someone can help me with this slight problem.
I want to submit my site to a directory which has both paid and free listings available. The only problem is that for a free lsiting the directory requires a reciprocal link. Now, I know that search engines frown upon free-for-all and link exchanges. Here are my questions: 1. How do the search engines determine which web sites should be punished for free-for-all etc links? Is it after a certain number of such links? 2. How would a directory like this be considered since it also has paid, legitimate listings? Thanks! |

link exchange with good sites can help
Search engines do not like exchange with FFA or link farms but if your search google most of the top sites in very competitive keywords have link pages and they exchange links with relevent sites. That always helps.

Search Engines don't and won't frawn on "reciprocal links", they ignore irrelevant links. It is OK If reciprocal link makes sense to your users.

Search engines don't count links based on relevence. All links are counted, regardless of the "theme" of the site. |
