Maximum links for crawlers?
Hi all,

Anyone know how many links search engine crawlers (google, yahoo, msn, etc) will take on a page before they get maxed out?

I was reading google guidelines it was saying appox 100 links or so. I will have a site map which I'm thinking will have bunch of links.

Please advise.

No one has an exact number as it hasn't been published and no one has done a test to check this. The number Google offers is an excellent guideline, though. There rarely are reasons for more then 100 links to be on a page and pages that may seem to require it usually can be split up into multiple pages and work just as well if not better.
