Unhappy me new website is getting badly ranked

my website

www.germanjulian.com

which is about my computer, tweaking, articles etc has finally been found by google.com

the thing though is that my name germanjulian is used in loads of forums etc so there forums have a higher ranking then my website so every time you search for "germanjulian tweak" you dont get my website but loads of other websites/forums etc.

how do I fix this (without changing my domain)
post my website on loads of boards so the search engines give me higher results?

if you look at my source code for the site (simple html) you will notice I did optimize it for webcrawlers allready (I THINK)

One resource, depending on the quality of your site, is applying for awards from rated and recognized website award programs. You can use their branding to increase your standing in the search engines. One url for you is http://uwsag.com

Your site isn't bad but it could be better. Here are a few things you should do:

1. Look Get a better design. The design you have now isn't bad, but there is room for some improvement. A nice looking site is never bad!

2. Uniqueness People go to sites that have something that other sites don't. To get more visitors, you need something that will make people keep coming back! That's where my next thing comes in:

3. Interaction You should have some forums. Sites where people can interact appeal to site visitors! Allow others to share what you like with you by putting in their thoughts and opinions

4. Content You should have a lot of content on a site. Some people want to go on a journey when they visit a site. If someone goes to a site and they run out of stuff to do, they'll leave!

5. Promote Tell your friends! Get some of your friend's opinion. See what they think needs work. See if you can get them involved as well to promote the site.

Hope that helps

~Trellis

* Also don't forget that no site sprouts overnight! It can take up to a year or more sometimes for a site to gain popularity. Whatever you do, keep up your motivation to spread the word about your site. Update it as often as you can as well!

Content, Content, Content...

Content, Content, Content...

Forget about everything. All you need is a comfortable design to nevigate through and CONTENT. No one will visit regularly a site that updates once a week. If you are unable to update the site at least once a day and thats a bare minimum, get a forum, a chat, or something in that order that will generate content for you. The truth is that after one read there is nothing more to look for in your site.

germanjulian tweak

there are a few thing that you could try:

1. change your title tag to
<title>germanjulian tweak</title>,
try to incorporate germanjulian tweak into your content and other page titles too, always list germanjulian tweak first in a title, for example your about this site page could have a title like <title>germanjulian tweak - About This Site</title>

2. change Welcome to Germanjulian's Computer Website
to Welcome to the Germanjulian Tweak Computer Website

3. rename your homepage link to
Germanjulian Tweak or Germanjulian Tweak Home

4. rename your forum index to
germanjulian tweak forum

5. for any new links that you get to your website request that they use germanjulian tweak as the linking text

hope you find these suggestions helpful

Lightbulb Known Tips

Hello my friend

Ok, i dont know why you want your website to rank for some word (i think) no one is going to look for, Yes you can rank for other keywords better than you rank for the keywords in your domain name

Anyway, everything i am going to write here is based on stuff i found on google and other trusted sources (like interviews from google ppl) so im ruling out allot of guess work

1- Google does depend on the URL for keywords, But that includes page names and directory names

2- Anchor text (the text you click to go somewhere) counts, so get people linking to you to use anchor text with your keywords

3- There is a maximum PR for every site, this maximum is determined by 2 factors, People linking to you and there PR, and the number of pages in your website, the bigger the website the higher the max PR (think dynamic PHP or something)...
This is not merily guesswork, But the original PR algo. is property of stanford uni and you can see it if you like... Yes google's PR is a modified version, but it is evident (i can build strong arguments) that it is still loyal to this idea (The original algorithim exports 85% of PR devided by the number of links on the poge to every linked page

Good luck my friend, If you have more questions, or this is not what you are looking for, i will check on this post again to see...

Cool Best thing you can do...

Go back to all those forums and update your home page in those forums, so that
  1. Any one going to those pages have an entry to your new home page
  2. This provides a backlink to your website thereby increasing your page rank and traffic.

I m sure this will definitely rank your site higher than all those discussion forums

Killing 2 birds with one stone.
