If I set up several Domain names, all with different content but with the same main page title.
one-domain.com about random stuff two-domain.com about the sky three-domain.com about rubbish If I then cross link them, will this help my SEO, or will google give me a big slap?

Yeah, if you're linking inbetween sites, you want to make sure that the content is interrelated because google wants to make sure that you're getting relevant links coming in to your site.
Also, it probably wouldn't be worth the time. Just go out and find two link partners. lol |

Linking the sites is good, but just remember not to cross-link (linking from one to the other and back agian).
To make the links work well, use 3 or 4-way linking (the further removed, the better), and you should have more improvements in what you're after. |

What I'm planning to do is have links on the new sites to the original site. Maybe just the home page link on one of the sites and on the other site links to all the key categories of the main site. On both of the new sites, no keyword spamming will take place so as not to damage the original sites ranking. The only thing the sites will have in common though is the site name, will this be enough to boost my ranking of the original sites ranking, or could it hurt the ranking?
Thanks for replying. |
