More links then them but 0 pr when they have a 1 pr.
How come my site has a pr of 0 and 103 links. When someone elses site has a pr of 1 and has 5 links!

"PR0" is a special value saying that you have been banned from google. This is different from "no PR" which means "not indexed yet" (maybe also "too few back links", not sure).

with that said...I have just recently posted a new site, here, and it's saying i have a pr of 0...i haven't even had the oppourtunity to be banned yet!! does it just take some time to get to a pr of 1??

Check if googlebot ever visited your site (search for the string "googlebot" in your log files).

Google doesn't index sites without any inbound links, so your new site is probably not indexed yet.

Wait some time, you have got a inbound link from this thread here now. Googlebot should visit your site within the next hours or maybe a few days. Watch your log files.

The PR in the toolbar is NOT the real PR that is in Google's system.

The toolbar PR is updated only once ever few months, but the actual PR calculation is done much more often (maybe even daily or weekly).

So if the toolbar is showing PR 0 for a site, but shows a TON of quality backlinks, that means the real PR is more than 0, and you will see it the next time Google updates the toolbar PR.

Hi,
I have to disagree. Gray bar can mean either banned or just not indexed yet. PR 0 never means banned, but it can mean penalized. For example, the well known site Template Monster (www.templatemonster.com) was recently banned and is showing a gray bar.
